We hate football. No, actually I would take that back; we dont care about football. The three of us sitting at Blitz knew the rules but we also knew that this was the only hour, the game had our attention fot once and once only. There were drinks getting spilled, large guys jumping up from their chairs to do the finger-dance and we were cheering, all of us. Maybe it is the millions of dollars, maybe it is funny sports bars but the girls sitting with me were fucking screaming along with every pass like they were at a Chromeo show
On Saturday we went to Ikea which turned into a six hour adventure as we got lost and ate at some terrible diner where Bobby ate a burger with an egg on it. I forget the names of everything involved. Double Royal with cheese?
Ikea itself was impressive and depressing, mind numbing and exciting. To be led on a tour with a thousand jostling spectators, to be shown what to buy before you actually hold anything in your hand..
I got stuck in line for twenty mintues because I tried to buy a display item and I decided to opt out of getting any Swedish meatballs. I'm going back.
Blake posted a video (that I assume) was awesome but when I tried to click on it the link was down so maybe that will be up tomorrow.
For now here is song to describe the times.
