SSION's GOOEY BUTTER MIX DRINK-Y!!

It's a bit hard to take SSION seriously. From their outrageous attire to their, apparently, similar drinking methods. One thing we do take seriously is SSION's ability to get us fucking moving year after year. Here, SSION's Cody offers a bit of incite as to how they go about being so fucking good.

"SSION's GOOEY BUTTER MIX DRINK-Y!!

1 yellow cake mix
1 stick butter, melted
2 eggs
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs
1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar

Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix cake mix, butter and 2 eggs well and spread as the bottom layer. Beat cream cheese, 2 eggs and powdered sugar well and spread on top. Bake at 350 degrees 20 to 25 minutes. let cool.

in x-LARGE mixer, pour in bottle of cheap rum, carton of egg nog and the gooey butter mix. mix on high speed until it's a big gooey mess. then drink all of it!"

I first fell in love with SSION via SKYSCRAPER magazine back around 2003, then again on the Release the Bats compilation from Three One G. Though for a while there they stayed under the radar, they've recently become quite popular with their new, FOOLS GOLD record, and single for CLOWN which contains a remix by Portland's own GLASS CANDY. If you're hesitant to follow this recipe, you may want to beware of their records... but in either case you're missing out on something truly unique.
