That was my first thoughs at looking at the Coahcella lineup. Wow the headliners are Portishead and the.....(wait for it).....The Verve?
Don't get me wrong. I love Coachella. I love the drive there, I like dancing all day in the rave tent, I love looking forward to it for months and then missing all the bands you went there for. I love getting lost in seventy thousand people, I love partying in the desert, 500 miles south of where I should ever go...
In 2008 thank god for the second tier of bands, which are all a dancetastic Pitchfork reader could hope for..

In his defense... roger waters sounds like a mixed drink, and Pink Floyd hasn't been relevant for years beyond replay value of their ultimately overrated discography.
But really he is the most promising of headlining events this year.... who will play with him? thats my question! and are they serious about fatboy slim? speaking of irrelevant!
I grew up in a tipi. I did not know who Prince was until two years ago.
